Honoring Earth Day with Action: Our Annual Verdon Road Cleanup
At INDEVCO North America, sustainability isn’t just part of our mission, it’s something we live out in both big and small ways. One of the most meaningful traditions we’ve upheld each year is our Verdon Road Cleanup at our HQ in Doswell, a company-wide initiative that brings our team together to care for the environment just outside our doors.
Each spring, in honor of Earth Day, employees from every corner of our operation, everyone from maintenance to leadership, step away from their daily tasks to spend an hour outdoors, working together to clean up Verdon Road. Armed with gloves, bags, and a shared purpose, our team removes litter, debris, and recyclables from the roadside to help keep our community clean and our local ecosystem healthy.

Why It Matters
Founded in 1970, Earth Day began as a call to action to protect our planet, driven by growing awareness of environmental challenges like air and water pollution. What started as a grassroots movement has grown into the largest civic observance in the world, celebrated by more than a billion people each year.
At INDEVCO, we see Earth Day as an opportunity to reflect on our environmental impact and to take tangible steps that align with our sustainability values. The Verdon Road Cleanup is one of many ways we demonstrate that commitment, not just as a company, but as a team that cares deeply about where we live and work.
A Team Effort with Lasting Impact
While the cleanup only takes an hour, its effects last far longer. Not only does it prevent waste from entering nearby waterways and harming wildlife, but it also reminds us of the power of collective action. When everyone from across the company joins in, side by side, we build more than just a cleaner road; we strengthen our culture of responsibility and pride.
Thank you to every team member who participates year after year. Together, we’re making a difference, one bag of trash at a time.
